Meet the Administration

  • School Principal 
    Miss Cardona received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Loyola Marymount University and Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She began working for the El Monte Union High School District in 1994 as a teacher at South El Monte High School. She then was a counselor at Arroyo High School followed by Counselor/ Administrator and most recently Assistant Principal at El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. She's currently the Principal at El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. With over 24 years of experience working in education, Miss Cardona says the best part of her job is working with the students. "It is wonderful to assist students to see their potential and guide them to pursue educational excellence as they reach for their individual goals."

    Mr. Gomez received his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Los Angeles, in Social Science. He earned his Master's in Education with an emphasis in School Counseling from Point Loma University, San Diego. Mr. Gomez holds a teaching credential, pupil services credential, and administrative credential. Mr. Gomez began his career with the El Monte Union High School District in 1999 as an Athletic Counselor for the "Play It Smart" program sponsored by the National Football League. In 2001-2002, Mr. Gomez was hired as a Social Science Teacher and Head Wrestling coach at Mountain View High School. In 2005-2006, Mr. Gomez became a Guidance Counselor at Arroyo High School. In 2014-2015, Mr. Gomez became an Assistant Principal of Activities at Arroyo High School, overseeing CIF championship programs in Football and Wrestling. In 2017-2018, Mr. Gomez became the Assistant Principal overseeing the Student Services Department at Mountain View High School for the next 8 years. Mr. Gomez joined the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School beginning the Summer of 2025 as the new Assistant Principal. Mr. Gomez is a product of the community, growing up in El Monte and promoting education as a vessel for upward mobility. He has worked at the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School in the past as part part-time teacher, counselor, and administrator. He looks forward to working with our adult students and promoting programs that support students in learning English as a Second Language, High School Diploma, and Career Technical Education.

  • Program Administrator
    Ms. Frogue attended Whittier College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is proud to have been in adult education for over twenty years. She got her start teaching English as a Second Language and High School Diploma classes. She has also held the positions of Curriculum Specialist and Program Specialist. Ms. Frogue has been involved in the California Council for Adult Education and CAEP leadership opportunities, regularly advocating with local and state legislators for greater opportunities for adult students. She is currently a Program Administrator at El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. The best part of her job is encouraging and supporting students as they reach their educational goals.

  • Program Administrator Paul Diaz
    Mr. Diaz attended California State University, Fullerton where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. He then received his teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino. Mr. Diaz also attended Point Loma Nazarene University where he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education and Counseling. He holds both an Administrative Services Credential and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Mr. Diaz is proud to say he has been with adult education for 24 years. He began working for the El Monte Union High School District in 1994 as a teacher for the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. He has continued his career at the adult school and is presently a Program Administrator. Mr. Diaz says the best part of his job is seeing adult students taking advantage of opportunities to learn something new and encouraging them to never give up on their goals.

  • Lisa Ton Program Administrator
    Ms. Ton attended Cal Poly Pomona and received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Master of Arts Degree in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. She holds both an Administrative Services Credential and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Ms. Ton began working for the El Monte Union High School District in 2002 as a SB 65 Drop Out Prevention Specialist at Mountain View High School. She then was a Guidance Counselor at El Monte High School and is currently employed as a Program Administrator at El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. With 20 years of experience working in education, the best part of her job is witnessing student’s growth and success through learning.
